History of the Village

Colton Today

Colton as you enter the village.

The number of residents is very little changed as we have had no houses built in the village in the last 5 years.

Colton today is a small rural village with very few amenities. There is still a school, a church, two pubs and a village hall but no shops. Most residents work in the surrounding towns.

There is a thriving community however with lots of activities and events organised by the village including the history society!
